Our theme was PLANTS. We learned about how plants grow and why they are important. We even grew some plants in our classroom. Spring has started and the trees in our class needed some nice new green leaves. We coloured, cut out and stuck our leaves to the trees.
Kerem, Borahan and Barış helped our tree get green.
Irmak, Yelda and Asya are all smiles.
Yağız, Yiğit, Efe and Çınar are really pleased with their work.
Albert Einstein once said, “Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.” One of the best ways to develop and foster imagination is through constructive play. The Orange Frogs work hard, but there is always time taken out for play.
Yelda, Tuana, Irmak and Asya are making a story with their dolls.
Efe and Çınar are helping each other to use the yo-yo.
The boys love to play with the interlocking blocks. They make planes, castles, cars, roads and lots of other wonderful creations.
You were probably wondering why we brought those potatoes to school. Well, these pictures will give you the answer. We made a "Potato Research Book" in class as part of our plants theme. We looked closely at our potatoes and completed our books. It was really fun because even though we eat potatoes all of the time, we never really think about them.
Ahmet, Yelda and Yiğit are filling in the information about size. Is their potato big, medium or small?
Tuana, Ömer, Barış, Kerem and Borahan giving information about the colour and condition of their potatoes. Are they red or brown, clean or dirty?
Everyone is showing their potatoes.
Look at the camera and shout, "POTATO!"
Çınar, Efe and Yağız are counting the "eyes" on their potatoes and answering the question about their favourite way to eat potatoes. Do they like chips, fries, mashed potatoes or baked potatoes?
Well, that was a glimpse into our week. We did a lot of interesting stuff and learned a lot about plants, too. We will be back next week, of course, with lots of new pictures and info about the things we did at school. See you later!!!
