Hello waterdrop!

Last week our topic was “Water”. In circle time we asked to kids why is water important. They gave nice answers to this question such as; We need water to drink, plants need water to grow and animals need water,  fish need water to swimJThen we talked about what could we do to save water.
We did a fun sink/float activity. Kids had fun when they watched the objects during sink and float.

We completed an investigation worksheet to go along with our sink and float experiment.

Waterdrop needed help sorting out his friends! In each row there was one different waterdrop and we found them:)

In the free playing time, girls created a lovely book for me and Elvin teacher. We were so happy to get this a valuable present.:)
And this is the cover page of the book:) How nice it is:)

While the girls were busy creating their own book, the boys were busy creating their own play station:) By using papers, they did a play station and of course then they played play station:)
They enjoyed creating their own play stations:)

They are very creative:) Well done boys.

And yupiii park time:)

And it's time to go for orange frogs, see you next week:)

Mind if I bug you?

Hi there! Last week we were busy with the theme of insects. In one of the stations we watched the life cycle of a butterfly.

Animated Gif Insects (107)

Here is the video:

Who says we can't make our own butterflies with the life cycle stages on it?

We started cutting out the pictures of the stages which were jumbled. We put them in an order and then we started pasting them on our butterflies.

She is seriously searching the most precious crayon ever...

Borahan is probably thinking: "To glue or not to glue...That's the question"
 :))))

Time to show off our butterflies! READY, STEADY, GO!!!
Another video for you to enjoy and  say aloud.
These insects are really noisy:)

Leaving one week behind, we hope to see you again next week. Bye for now...

"A" is for Ant, "B" is for Bee

Another week has come and gone for the Orange Frogs.  Our theme for the week was ANTS AND BEES.  We learned a lot about these important insects and nobody got stung or bitten.  As usual, we've got loads of pictures of the Orange Frogs in action.

Let's start off with a look at our stations for the week:
Efe and Çinar are as busy as, well...bees, of course.  They made some great colour and cut bees.
This station was DELICIOUS!  We made anthills you can eat!  A little pudding (dirt), crushed cookies (sand), and some chocolate drops (ants) made an incredible edible anthill.  Tuana and Asya seemed to like their anthills

Irmak digs into to her pile of ants. Yummy!

Ants, like all insects, have got two antennae.  The Orange Frogs turned themselves into ants this week
Kerem and Ahmet look happy in their ant hats.

Yelda shows off the latest look for the fashionable ant this summer.

Ömer and Yiğit are very big for ants! They must eat very well at home.

Time for some work in the "Happy House."  The Orange Frogs are practicing their listening skills and getting ready for 1st grade English.
Asya is handing out the worksheets and the students have their pencil cases.  Everyone is ready to go!

First, we listened and circled the correct pictures.

Next, we had to listen and match the numbers to the correct pictures.
All finished, let's show off that work. Here's Asya, a mystery student (I think it's Çınar), and Yiğit.

Ahmet is holding it up high, Tuana's made a hat and Yelda, as usual, is all smiles.

Irmak did her work well and is now working on her hair.  Borahan, Ömer, and Kerem have done a great job, too.
After this, it was time for a fun song called "Animal Friends."  We listened and held up the cards when we hear the animals names'.
Here's the tiger, mouse and bird.  Çınar is doing his best tiger impersonation.

And here's the snake, dog and cat.

The Orange Frogs have worked hard together all year long.  They have grown close and become good friends to each other.  Here's a couple of pictures of our friends having some fun together.
Legos are best when you share them with a friend

Beautiful smiles, beautiful friends!

That's the week that was for the Orange Frogs.  We'll see you again next time with loads of new photos.  BYE!

Here's a link to a great dance song that the kids really love!

Here's a song about a really busy bee!
